About the mandir

HISTORY

Shree Jalaram Seva Mandal Annakshetra commenced at Shree Shankrashram Mandir –  SSDS on 05/04/2001. After one year of service, the annakshetra moved into refurbished Vageshwari Hall, SSDS on 11/08/2002 with Bapa’s chalat murti investor ceremony.

WELFARE ACTIVITIES

We would like to highlight the welfare activities we have carried over since 2000 for needy people :

  • We serve daily nutritious midday meal to almost 150 needy people.
  • Free ration of 5 kgs of Atta and Rice per family / month to about 50 families.
  • Under privileged family children are provided assistance in paying their school fees.
  • We cater to assist needy for medical assistance by supply of medicines free of charge and by paying hospitalisation expenses.
  • We also extend assistance in the Cataract Operations & Hydrosile Operations.
  • We also distribute wheel chairs and walking accessories to the handicapped.
  • Reading glasses are also provided on request to needy persons.

SOCIAL ACTIVITIES

Collection of garments from donors and redistributing it to the underprivileged community.

Major festival like Holi, Ramnavmi, Hanuman Jayanti, Jalaram Jayant, Diwalo, Hindu New year are celebrated with distribution of Mahaprasad on these occasions.
 
We organise annual events of xmas and picnic for about 300 children of Yatima and National children Orphanage home and are supported by generous donors.
